Fixed Home Heat Routes

If you are a Home Heat LP customer, it is Mulgrew Oil & Propane’s policy to place all customers on Fixed/Routine Routes after their initial delivery. We will take the responsibility of scheduling regular interval fills to ensure your tank does not run out of fuel during the heating season. Customers wanting to maintain Will Call status must submit their requests to a Mulgrew Customer Experience Specialist.

Will Call Customers

Will Call Fuel and LP Non-Ag customers are encouraged to participate in Fixed/Routine Routes. Maintaining a Will Call Status will require compliance and understanding of the following Mulgrew Oil policies and practices. 

 

  • Will Call deliveries will be completed in conjunction with planned Fixed Routes. Expedited Will Call deliveries will be subject to an Off Route Fee of $225.00. 

While participation is encouraged, Ag LP and Fuel customers are not required to be on Fixed/Routine Routes. However, they are subject to our applicable Special Delivery Fees and Delivery Minimums.

Propane – 250 Gallons
Deliveries made under the stated minimums may be subject to additional delivery fees.

Fuel Contracts and Pricing Policies

LP and Fuel Contracts are available during designated times of the year. Please contact Jason Breithaupt at (563) 543-5665 for details. 

 

Non-Contract (“Off the Truck”) prices are finalized at the time of delivery, not at the time of the order/delivery request. Prices may be higher or lower than time of request. 

Emergency Service and Special Delivery Fees

Service Fees 

Service charges are $100.00 per hour (a 1-hour minimum charge will apply.) 

 

Special Delivery Fees 

Off Route/After hour’s/holiday delivery charge: $225

Minimal Delivery Fee: $100

Same day emergency or reschedule delivery charge: $100 

Out of Gas Safety check: $100

Unsafe/Inaccessible reschedule delivery $100 

Wet Hose Delivery Fees: 

One pieces of Equipment with Bulk Tank Fill – No Charge 

Multiple equipment (3 or less) staged near Bulk Tank Fill – Additional $50 

Multiple equipment (3 or less) staged together/No Bulk Tank Fill – $100 

 

To support timely and safe delivery, we require our customers to make their tanks accessible by keeping the surrounding areas clear and organized. Driveways, lanes and pathways leading to your tanks must be maintained and allow for safe passage by our delivery equipment. If our driver attempts to make your delivery and determines an unsafe and inaccessible condition is apparent, they will not deliver your fuel, your delivery will be rescheduled and a $100 fee will be applied to your order. 

How to Order Fuel or Other Products

To order fuel simply call or text the provided phone numbers and a Customer Experience Specialist will be happy to lead you through the process. You can also place orders through our online portal at myaccount.mulgrewoil.com, or through our mobile app. You can also send an email to orders@mulgrewoil.com to request a delivery. 

To order diesel exhaust fluid, please call the provided numbers and ask for Jim Williams.

Tanks and Monitors

Lease – $99 per year 

 

Tanks 

If available, tanks can be leased or purchased from Mulgrew Oil. If you are leasing or using a Mulgrew tank, you must purchase product from Mulgrew Oil & Propane. 

LP Home Heat Equipment

During the home heat season, please remember if your equipment stops working it may only be an indication of a fuel runout. Check your tank level and call for a refill prior to calling for emergency service. Mulgrew Oil & Propane does have monitoring programs and equipment for sale or lease to prevent a fuel runout. Please contact Davis Flogel for program and equipment details.

Delivery Tickets, Invoicing and Monthly Statement

Our drivers will leave a delivery ticket for your records after all our deliveries are complete. You can reference this ticket total to pay for your energy products. Customers who have requested email as a primary contact method for deliveries and statements will also receive a emailed copy. Customers not utilizing email will receive a delivery ticket and a hard copy mailed monthly statement.

How to Pay my Bill

We accept Check, ACH, EFT, Debit Card and Credit Card Payments (2.75% Convenience Fee is applied to credit card payments). Setting up autopay within 10 days of delivery through ACH, Credit or Debit card makes you eligible for our Auto Pay Discount of .05 cents per gallon on truck price deliveries.

Finance Charges and Collections

A daily Finance Charge of 0.05% (an annual rate of 21.0% per year) will be applied to any balance not paid before the last billing day of the following month plus any previous unpaid balance.

 

Payments shall be applied first to the unpaid Finance Charge, then to the remaining outstanding balance.

 

In the event that collection proceedings must be instituted to collect balance due, you will be subject to a collection fee up to 30% of the balance due and/or court costs.
